Jakhu Ropeway Shimla

The ropeway station is located near the Shiwalik Hotel, a short walk from The Ridge. You can reach The Ridge by taxi or by walking from various points in Shimla. Some travelers suggest taking a taxi directly to the ropeway base for convenience.

It's about a half-kilometer walk from The Ridge to the ropeway station. Be prepared for a slight uphill climb.

While taxis can get you close, parking might be limited near the ropeway base. Many visitors prefer to walk from The Ridge or a nearby drop-off point.

Historically, you could only walk a steep path. Now, shared taxis and private cars can also take you closer to the temple.

The ropeway itself is designed for ease of access, but the walk from The Ridge to the station might be challenging for some. The top station is close to the temple.

A round trip for adults is approximately ₹500, and for children (3-12 years) it's around ₹400. One-way tickets are also available at roughly half the price. Children below 3 ride for free.
