Reviews Summary

Daria Daulat Bagh is praised for its historical significance, beautiful teakwood architecture, and vibrant murals. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained gardens and the museum's collection of Tipu Sultan's artifacts. Some note ongoing restoration work and advise caution regarding separate camera tickets.

"Daria Daulat Bagh is also known as summer palace of tippu. I liked the courtyard footpath. The palace was under renovation when I visited. It shows some wall painitings and the explanation is provided on the board below the paintings. Some british medals, works of famous painters and different items used during Tipu's era are exhibited for visiters to view. The paintings talk about major battles and fall of srirangapatna.
The ticket was taken online by scanning QR code available on the premises of the palace. It costed Rs20/- for an Indian adult. There is dedicated parking space as well and the security person was very helpful in guiding.
There is also an outlet of cavery emporium opposite the palace premises.
Food options are also available both inside and outside the palace."

"You can visit if you are interested to see tipu sultan's belongings, they are left with very few of his stuff like guns, swords, 1 set of silk wear and few paintings. The archaelogical survey of india is currently doing some restoration of the palace.

Note: DSLR's are NOT allowed, please carry only mobile phone."

"A rich historical site with beautiful surroundings!

Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace (Daria Daulat Bagh) in Srirangapatna is a beautifully preserved teakwood structure set amidst lush green lawns.

The walls are adorned with vibrant murals depicting wars with the British, meetings with Maratha rulers, and notable scenes involving palegars of Yelahanka and Chitradurga.

The museum houses Tipu’s furniture, royal dress, weapons, and portraits of his generals. A major highlight is the British painting of the Fall of Srirangapatna, along with illustrations of nearby forts.

Tickets are booked on the spot through a QR code system, which is smooth and convenient. The entry fee is ₹15 for Indian citizens and ₹200 for foreigners.

The site is easily accessible from Mysuru (around 30 minutes by road), and parking is available. Photography is allowed throughout the palace and museum.
