After visiting the Ranganathaswamy Temple, our next stop was Daria Daulat Bagh, the famous summer palace of Tipu Sultan. The entry process is simple — ₹20 per adult, paid by scanning a QR code at the entrance (no paper tickets).
We had earlier visited Tipu Sultan’s palace in Bangalore, but this one truly stands out. The moment you step inside, the vivid wall and ceiling paintings capture your attention — scenes of battles, royal processions, and portraits of Tipu and his family beautifully preserved over centuries. The artistic detail and vibrant colors are just mesmerizing. There’s also a small display of old weapons and arms, and outside you can spot a cannon with stone cannonballs, adding to the royal ambience.
The palace sits within a huge, beautifully maintained garden — green lawns, tall and old trees, and peaceful pathways make it a lovely place to walk around. Architecturally, it’s a fine example of Indo-Islamic design, built mostly in teakwood around 1784. The structure, though not very large, exudes elegance with its ornate arches, floral motifs, and rich paintings that narrate the history of Tipu’s reign.
Overall, Daria Daulat Bagh offers a wonderful combination of history, art, and natural beauty. Perfect for families, history lovers, and photography enthusiasts alike."

"This is an amazing & beautiful palace of the great ruler in India Tipu Sultan.You should register the names & details & pay entry fee through online.we can do it from the entrance of the palace, the security will help to register. There is a big area for free parking. There is prepaid toilet facility at the left side just after the entrance. The palace is now preserved as a museum. There are several types of things related to tipu sultan in the museum. Tipu's dress , swords , canon, gun, different types of coins, hand drawn Pictures & descriptions of tipu's 7 children , Tipu's warriors , the furnitures used in Tipu's periods.Amazing wall paintings & vastu (traditional architecture & Engineering)"
