Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Jain Temple for its historical significance, intricate granite architecture, and peaceful ambiance. The well-preserved pillars and unique designs are highlights. However, some note the lack of information boards and the potential for the main sanctum to be locked.

"Good place located on main road. A lot of parking space available.A huge temple with each piller having different carvings on it. Unfortunately there was no one to tell about the place, when how front portion collapsed, one or more board explaining about the place is a must and will be handy to learn , know more about the place , when and who built this. Good security with cctv cameras around temple premises required. It is advisable to avoid visiting this place as it is invaded by girls and boys indulging in all dirty acts,if action taken to avoid this problem the temple is good and visitors footfall will increase.Overall a good place to visit and more details needs to be told to the public."

"Visiting the Jain Temple in Sultan Bathery was a deeply moving experience. This historic monument believed to date back to the 13th century and built in the Vijayanagar architectural style is carved entirely in granite and holds few of the original idols, yet its pillars, motifs, and Nagamandala snake-knot design are superbly preserved. The silence, cool air, and serenity inside the compound make it a great spot to pause, reflect, and soak in a piece of heritage.

Though the sanctum is usually locked and the idol is only brought back once a year during Mahavir Jayanti, the caretakers are welcoming and ready to guide you with enthusiasm if you ask. The temple grounds are clean, well-maintained under ASI protection, and free to enter. A visit takes about ten minutes, but the architecture and calm atmosphere make every moment worthwhile. Highly recommended for history lovers, seekers of peace, or anyone exploring Wayanad."

Where stone structures, stone column supports the bis stone slab roof was looking outstanding..be ⚠️ cautious whole surface was very slippery as i went in rainy season"
