What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Thalassery Lighthouse for its historical significance and stunning evening views, particularly the sunsets over the Arabian Sea, making it a romantic spot. However, some reviews highlight concerns about overcrowding and a lack of crowd management, especially on narrow staircases, leading to a potentially risky and claustrophobic experience.
"This historic structure was constructed on top of Thalassery Fort on 1903, facing Arabian Sea. This symbolises the Thalassery's importance as a harbour and reflects it's colonial heritage. The Thalassery Lighthouse is not only a navigational structure but also a beacon of the region's rich cultural and trading past. We can't climb on top of the Lighthouse now."

"At evening view will be awesome. Best spot for couples 🫣"

"Utterly mismanaged place waiting for mishap to happen. It gets too much crowded and there is no one to manage crowd. After lift reaches top, there are 50+ people scrammed and pushing each other on a narrow staircase. All COVID precautions flouted and environment is claustrophobic. They should have people managing the flow of people. Way too risky and not worth the effort"
