I found a trail near where I live, it starts through a small village and a few people go there but I kept on going and found a trail leading all the way to the highest point of mumbai which is an airbase as I'm told but it's around 8-9kms deep into the forest, it's really…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the stunning hilltop views and invigorating nature trails at Yeoor Hills, making it a great spot for morning walks and exercise. However, some have experienced frustration with entry fees for inaccessible areas and noted that amenities like picnic spots and playgrounds could be improved.
"Date of Visit: 12th October 2025
I came to Yeoor Hills (Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Thane entry) looking forward to a day in nature, and instead, I was met with one of the most frustrating and fraudulent tourist experiences of my life. This isn't just a poor management issue; it is a SCAM perpetuated by the staff at the entry gate.
We were stopped and told we had to pay to enter—fair enough for a National Park. The gatekeepers, acting like police, demanded ₹295 for two people and a single bike. We paid, we received our receipt (which proves our wasted expenditure), and we proceeded with the expectation of seeing the sights.
NOT ONCE did the personnel at the collection booth inform us that all of the major sightseeing points were completely shut down and inaccessible due to restrictions imposed by the Air Fore management.
We drove all the way up the hills, only to be told by confused locals that the entire upper area and any points of interest were sealed off. We continued anyway, only to be stopped by police officers who definitively told us to turn back. Our money—₹295—was spent purely on driving an inaccessible road and nothing more.
Is this how state-managed tourist spots operate? Charging full price for an experience that simply does not exist?
We were deliberately cheated out of our money. The receipt is proof that we paid for access that was knowingly restricted by the very authorities who took our cash. This is a complete failure of public service and a total robbery of tourist money.
I demand an explanation and accountability for why visitors are allowed to pay a premium fee when the main attraction is completely shut down. Tourists deserve transparency, not deceit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE UNTIL THIS FRAUDULENT PRACTICE IS STOPPED!"

"3/5 Stars: A Scenic Hill Park with Room for Improvement
I recently visited the Best Hill Park, and while it offered some stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere, I left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. As a frequent visitor to hill parks, I had high expectations, but unfortunately, this park didn't quite meet them.
On the positive side, the park's scenic views were truly breathtaking. The hilltop offered a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, and I spent a pleasant hour simply taking in the sights. The park's walking trails were also well-marked and well-maintained, making it easy to explore the area.
However, I was disappointed by the park's limited amenities. The picnic areas were small and lacked shade, making them less than ideal for a family outing. The park's playground was also somewhat dated and lacked variety. Additionally, I found the park's parking area to be somewhat cramped and difficult to navigate.
Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend the Best Hill Park to those looking for a relaxing stroll or a scenic view. However, I hope that the park's management will take steps to address the park's limitations and improve the overall visitor experience.
Highlights:
- Stunning scenic views from the hilltop
- Well-marked and well-maintained walking trails
- Relaxing atmosphere
Areas for Improvement:
- Limited amenities, including picnic areas and playground
- Cramped and difficult-to-navigate parking area
- Lack of shade in picnic areas
Will I return? Perhaps, but I hope to see some improvements in the park's amenities and infrastructure."

"My favourite walking route when I am in Thane. The morning walks are quite invigorating - with fairly steep climb across through lush greenery. There is an open gym which is popular and I too spend some time exercising here. You will always find a number of walkers, runners and cyclists here. And monkeys too"
