"Kola valvill ramar temple, tiruvelliyangudi is located 19km away from kumbakonam town and glorified as one of 108 divya desams by thirumangai alvar in nalayira divya prabandham.
The temple is constructed in dravidian style by medieval cholas with later contributions from vijayanagar rulers.
The presiding deity is kolavalli ramar in reclining posture with separate shrine for maragathavalli .
The vishnu vahana, Garuda holds the conch and Sudarshana Chakra to relieve vishnu.
The temple is counted as vaishnava sukra kshetram as vishnu appeared as a beautiful deity to please his devotee shukra(venus).
Peaceful divine darshan in delta district"

"This is 22nd number Perumal temple of Divyadesham series in Thanjavur district. It is been believed that if you visit this temple then you can definitely finish the other Divyadesham temples. Here the idol of Balaji is in blue colour which is very rare to see. As it's in the interior of the village area with paddy fields surrounding better to visit in the daylight as no street lights available. When we reached the temple special puja was happening, lucky to see that."
