"We group of 8 people start trip From vellore to Yelagiri via ambur route, around 95 kms took 2 hrs due to road works going on. Reached morning it self and took hotel. Started exploring early morning around 7. Not much to see but below places one must see apart from artificial/adventure/bird parks:
1. Murugan temple on hill behind sterling Yelagiri resort, peaceful place with few steps to climb. gates Opened at about 7.30 am
2.Sri kathava nachi amma temple beside Nilavoor lake, one more peaceful temple with greenery all around.
3. Nilavoor cliff view point, we can ride from Nilavoor lake uphill upto parking followed by short trek to reach this point. We can go to top and enjoy yelagiri and Nilavoor town view.
4. Shri elagirishwarar temple, big temple constructed near velagiri town to take lord Shiva's blessings
5. After visiting all above places, best way to end the trip is to visit Yelagiri lake view boathouse right in middle of city, and enjoy the scenic view of hills from boats."
