What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Lal Bahadur Shastri Bridge is appreciated for its scenic views, especially during sunset and at night when it's beautifully illuminated. Visitors enjoy the panoramic vistas of the Ganges River and the city. However, some feel a dedicated footpath is lacking, and there's a sentiment that the bridge's name could better reflect local history.
"It's an important bridge to connect the two sides of cities to one. Its construction started in Mayawati regime but kept delayed of no reason. Then Akhilesh govt. came and they also delayed the construction of this bridge of no reason or you can say of their Negligence. Finally when Yogi BJP govt came into power, it's construction finally started and completed in several months. Kudos to them."

"The bridge should be named after Kashi Naresh Vibhuti Narain... The wealthy Raja of Benares would donated vast lands for free for the construction of BHU ( Banaras Hindu University ) to Madan Mohan Malviya . Founder of BHU ! 1912 . The bridge took in all 10 years for construction ! .It is almost 1 km long double lanes, no heavy vehicles allowed . It has a cantilever construction at the center rest ends of the bridge is supported by pillars ."
