"I love my church. I have been to many churches but St. John's is different for good.
More ways than one, I like to believe that this church stands up to the message of the Bible. It is immensely tolerant and inclusive. It supports mission works like feeding the poor, enabling homes for the homeless and extending educational scholarships to the marginalized on an annual basis.
Every Sunday, it has two services (except for the month of May). Mostly attended by CMC doctors, nurses and other staff. There are outsiders also. In this church, you can see the display of humility at its best. Manier times, you will see CMC directors and other high profile professionals assist as organists, ushers and speakers.
Church has large parking space, small park for the little children, toilet facilities, Parish (priest's residence) and also residence for the sexton (attender).
It is one of the oldest churches (built in 1846) in the area and situated inside the historical fort. Inside the Vellore fort, there are three religious symbols - a church (St. John's), a temple (Jalagandeshwara) and a masjid. It also has police training academy and museum.
