"Everything about the railway station is fine except the sudden information about platforms sometimes. Because of more no of platforms uneducated people night get confuse to reach even clear sign board and instructions placed at each and every corner. Too much of noise and station announcement for each platform need to be heard very care fully because of its low volume and less clearance .
There is a bus stop out side from platform 1 , recently a RAPIDO Bike pickup and drop point has been set up at Main entrance . Its good to travel for surrounding areas instantly without waiting for a much time to get bike rider to pickup.
Provided free non ac waiting halls & AC Paid waiting halls. Wash rooms need to maintain well.
Cost of every item out side and inside is almost 25% high. They all are selling beyond MRP.
Those who want to travel to Vijayawada Bus stand can go by walk from luggage and parcel out gate which is at the end of platform 1 . You can also get a bus at outside of main entrance from platform 1.
Much waiting time for passenger trains. Even Simhadri Express and GTR Rayagada also take much time to departure.

Vijayawada station is the heart of the south central railway. It carries many hopes for many lives. It has 10 platforms, no train stops more than 10 minutes, except in exceptional cases. Think of the count of people traveling from here to various parts of India.
Railways renovation their walking platform so it is looking new and wider too.
It has lift in every platform along with escalators in various platforms.
It has stalls, dustbins and maintenance goes around."
