"🌸 Pastime of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple – Vrindavan 🌸
The Sri Radha Gopinath Temple is one of the famous sapta devalaya (seven main temples) of Vrindavan, established by the great Vaishnava saint Shri Madhu Pandit Goswami, a disciple of Shri Gadadhar Pandit, who was a close associate of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
🔹 How Gopinath Came to Vrindavan
Once, in Orissa, the Gopinath Deity was worshipped by a devotee named Paramananda Bhattacharya. On the request of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, this Deity was later given to Madhu Pandit Goswami, who brought Him to Vrindavan and installed Him in a beautiful temple for worship.
🔹 The Famous Sweet Rice Pastime
One of the most cherished pastimes connected with this temple is known as the “Kshir-chora Gopinath” (the Lord who stole sweet rice). A poor devotee, Madhavendra Puri, once visited this temple. Seeing pots of sweet rice (kheer) being offered to Gopinath, he simply desired in his heart to taste it. Feeling ashamed of having such a thought, he left the temple without asking.
But that night, Gopinath appeared in the pujari’s dream and instructed him:
“Take one pot of sweet rice hidden under My dress and give it to My devotee Madhavendra Puri. He desired it, and I have kept it for him.”
Since then, Gopinath became famous as “Kshir-chora Gopinath”, the Lord who lovingly stole sweet rice for His devotee.
🔹 Temple Significance
Today, the temple houses the beautiful Deities of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath and is visited daily by thousands of devotees. The atmosphere reminds everyone of Krishna’s mercy and His eagerness to fulfill even the smallest desire of His pure devotees.
✨ Visiting this temple allows one to experience the sweetness of Krishna’s love and the depth of the relationship between the Lord and His devotees."

"Here you can get good darshan of Radha Gopinath ji. Old mandir was destroyed by the aurangzeb, which has good red marble. Now, it shifted the back side of that mandir. Isckon devotees came there and the hall got crowded, otherwise, hall was enough."
