This mosque is famous for surviving the 2004 tsunami when everything around it was destroyed. Standing there, knowing what the mosque had been through, gave me goosebumps. Despite the heat, I took my time to appreciate the architecture and the calm atmosphere. Inside, it was cooler and quiet—such a nice break from the heat outside.
I’m really happy I made the visit. Even though I was sweating buckets, the experience was still worth it. The spiritual vibe, the strong historical presence, and the simplicity of the mosque all made it so special.
