- The stones are mineral rocks formed by volcanic activities, they're part of a ground layer around the area. As evident by the cliff mines along the road. They get their signature blue hue from being eroded by the weather and waves. That's why you see them exposed on the cliffs and placed openly along the road.
2) Are they stealing and selling the rocks?
- More like mining and selling the rocks. The beach isn't going to disappear soon. The rocks you see along the road are from the cliff mines, not stolen from the beach.
The beach itself is nice, the waves were huge when I visited so its unsafe to go down. There's a nice seafood restaurant with pretty fair prices, a good spot to stop for lunch."
