"Had a one-day visit to Bogor for a Local Guides meetup and managed to spare some time to see the palace. Unfortunately, I couldn't get up close and could only admire it from outside the gate and fence. My friend mentioned that the Palace opened to the public in 1968, but only for tour groups, not individuals, with permission from the acting President of Indonesia, Suharto.
