Reviews Summary
Canggu's markets are praised for their vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings, from fresh local produce to trendy fashion and unique crafts. Visitors appreciate the opportunity to support local communities and find authentic Balinese goods. However, some popular markets can be expensive and crowded, especially on Sundays.
"Excellent place to get lots of various local products: fresh vegetables and fruits, tofu, Tempe and fish. For fresh products, be there before 10, preferably early. They open from 03:00. In the early morning you can feel hustle and bustle of local market. One of the few places in Canggu that is still far from tourists' lifestyle. Also excellent place to buy household items: toilet paper, thee, coffee, soap, shampoo, etc. Much better than supermarket or so-called Canggu market at Samadi or Old Mans where most vendors are rich Indonesians or Westerners. Here you will support local Canggu community with a very local price. A delicious local ubiungu (purple cassava wrapped in banana leaf) costs IDR 1000 ( $0.07)."

"Bali traditional market.
This market is close to the beach. For those of you who live in the area of canggu, you can buy vegetables and fruits cheaply.
My advice is to negotiate to get a very cheap price.
Good luck :-)"
