What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gesing Beach is praised for its stunning natural beauty, particularly its vivid green waters and dramatic cliffside scenery, offering magical sunrise and sunset views. Visitors appreciate the local seafood dining options and the availability of basic facilities like restrooms and a mosque. However, some find the multiple entrance and parking fees to be a bit high, and the beach is no longer ideal for swimming due to a dock.
"The scenery during sunrise and sunset here leaves quite an impression, quieter hours and softer lighting make the place feel calm and reflective. On my recent visit, the area was much less crowded in the early morning, which made it easier to enjoy the surroundings without much distraction. I remember back when people could still swim along the white sandy shore before the dock was built, now it's more of a viewing spot than a swimming area.
Basic facilities like restrooms and small eateries are available, and some seafood dishes were pretty memorable. Entrance fees are still relatively affordable, and there are several attractions, especially for families or groups."

"Gesing Beach is the best area here for walking, eating, and watching the ocean from both near and far. Skip the overhyped HeHa Ocean View if you’re going just for scenery … Gesing Beach is cheaper, more active, and simply better overall."

"The beach is beautiful actually but it's too commercial. The entrance fee is 25k IDR with no additional facilities like welcome drink or something (which is quite expensive compared to other beaches in the area), there is also another fee from the government 8k IDR before entry Gesing, Kesirat and Wohkudu beach. And you still have to pay for parking your vehicle.
The plus point are the beautiful scenery, clean and wide toilet and clean mosque. But the minus is the cost and can not swim in the beach (if you prefer to swim) also you have to pay more to play the Ferris wheel (bianglala)"
