What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Gunung Sewu Geopark to be a very interesting place with amazing and unique rock formations, offering nice views, especially from Gunung Api Purba. While some areas are recently renovated, shade is still developing, and workmanship quality varies, with some walkways already showing issues and fountains not working.
"Recently renovated Geopark with winding walkways and toilets. It would take time for the newly planted trees to provide some shade. Frankly, the workmanship is 2nd class. Some sections of the walkways are already flooded, stairways have sharp uneven edges. Also the main water fountain wasn't working (not turned on). New parking area is added, which is very convenient for those going up to Patuk-Wonosari."

"Very interesting place. Good to see the amazing rocks. So different. I'm not even a geologist! Nice views, especially in the beautiful gunung Kudul. I didn't spend a huge ammount of time there but well worth a quick look if you get up into this neck of the woods."
