Reviews Summary

Goa Jepang Pundong is praised for its extensive historical bunkers and stunning ocean views, offering a unique blend of history and natural beauty. While some visitors find the site's atmosphere a bit eerie, especially when alone, most appreciate the opportunity to explore this expansive WWII defense complex and enjoy the panoramic coastal scenery.

"I want to share my experience when I went to Goa Jepang Pundong.

I started walking from SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pundong at 3:30 AM. After a while, we stopped to rest and pray at a mosque. Then, we went to Situs Surocolo to have breakfast.

After that, we continued our journey to Goa Jepang by walking along a paved road (aspal). It was quite a challenge because we were carrying a lot of belongings, so the load felt heavy, and the road was steep. It took us a while to get there.

When we reached the first cave, we continued on to the second, third, and fourth caves. Actually, we were already quite tired, so we just took some photos and videos.

After that, we hiked to Puncak Khayangan, which is located at the top of the cave area. From there, we could see Parangtritis and Depok Beach from above — the view was amazing!

We actually wanted to see the horses, but we didn’t know where they were. On the way from the Goa Jepang gate to Puncak Khayangan, we passed by several more caves — the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth — which are located along the path.

I’m really curious about the history of Goa Jepang. It reminded me of the movie Exhuma. Maybe there's a connection between them."
