What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jungwok Blue Ocean is highly praised for its stunning Santorini-inspired architecture and picturesque beach views, making it a top spot for photos. Visitors appreciate the exceptional service and comfortable accommodation, though some note minor issues like flies and small bathrooms. The delicious honey grilled shrimp is a culinary highlight, but beach access via steep stairs is a point of consideration.
"I had a short stay here and really liked the place. The staff were all nice and helpful during the stay.
First off, the architecture is genuinely nice—it looks beautiful but isn't overdone or tacky. You can easily find photographers on site, and it only costs IDR 5,000 for a digital photo. It’s perfect for getting quick, good pictures.
Even though we had a standard room, the TV quality was surprisingly good. We loved just relaxing in bed watching netflix with the family when it was too hot to be outside.
For food, the breakfast buffet was just okay, but they do offer a lot of variety, which is good. However, the honey grilled shrimp I ordered at the restaurant for dinner was absolutely delicious—that was a highlight.
The location is right next to the beach, which is awesome, but fair warning: you have to climb a set of pretty high, steep stairs to get down to the sand. It’s doable, though. Finally, the welcome drink was unusually fresh and delicious, which was a nice surprise when checking in."

"Jungwok Blue Ocean is a stunning destination that everyone should visit at least once. The location and ambiance are truly exceptional, earning it the nickname "Santorini in Yogyakarta." The beautiful beach views are magnificent and the setting is picturesque.
We were highly impressed with the level of service provided. Anisa gave us a particularly warm and efficient welcome upon arrival, and the entire Food & Beverage team was consistently friendly and attentive throughout our stay.
The accommodation is excellent, with cozy and beautiful rooms; the option of rooms with a private pool is a fantastic luxury.
While the overall experience was outstanding, there are two areas for improvement that would elevate the guest experience:
* Pest Control: We noted a persistent issue with flies both in the rooms and in the dining area. Addressing this would significantly enhance guest comfort.
* Transportation: It would be highly beneficial to offer a buggy ride service for hotel guests as an alternative option to the stairs for accessing the beach.
Overall, it is a memorable and unique escape. We highly recommend it and hope the minor issues can be addressed soon!"

"Came to Jungwok Blue Ocean just for lunch and planned to hang out at the beach after.
Got a warm welcome from the staff at the reception, the view was superb! Love the Santorini theme — they really put effort into it. Came on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded at all, felt like having a private resort to ourselves!
There’s also a photographer there — only 5k per photo file. Totally recommend! They’ll show you the best photo spots and guide your poses, so the photos look natural.
Too bad we arrived around noon when it was super hot, so we didn’t stay too long.
Better to stay at the hotel next time so we can enjoy all the facilities!"
