Reviews Summary

Kadriah Palace is appreciated for its historical significance and the informative guidance provided by local staff. Visitors enjoy learning about the Pontianak Sultanate and admiring the unique yellow architecture. However, some feel the surrounding areas could be better maintained, and access is limited to certain parts of the palace.

"Old palace in Pontianak. Interesting history. Apparently the old Sultan designed the narional crest of Indonesia. There is no entrance free, but you’re welcome to donate"

Schaz Thoyeb

"The old palace, with only the front yard and the first room open to visitors. It is a good place to hang out, you will also have guides inside to give you interesting information about the palace."

Sophie Carlier

"The Palace is packed with historical items the Pontianak Sultanate Royal Family had left. Although the Palace is no longer the residence of the Royal Family, it now becomes akin to a museum. Throughout the visit, the local tour guide was welcoming and helpful in explaining everything we were curious about, including the political strife of the Royal Family (I dunno why but the story left a strong impression).

Although, the local government, in my opinion, should develop the surrounding areas since honestly I was surprised and didn't expect that there's a Palace here."
