"For those who want to visit plantation tourism in Banyuwangi, there are several choices of destinations and one of them is Kaliklatak agro tourism. Kaliklatak is a pioneer of agro tourism in Banyuwangi and even in Indonesia.
Kaliklatak is located on the slopes of Mount Merapi, 15 km west of the city of Banyuwangi. This agro-tourism plantation has an area of around 1013ha, located at an altitude of 450 M above sea level and managed by a private company. The main commodities from the Kaliklatak area include coffee, chocolate, rubber, cloves and spices. In the highest part, namely Hargosonyo, visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the city of Banyuwangi, the Bali Strait, the Blambangan Peninsula and the island of Bali.
At first, the plantation was owned by the Dutch company Mij Moorman & Co, but after 1957 the garden was changed to R. Soehoed Prawiroatmodjo, an indigenous businessman and specialized in coffee, rubber and cocoa. After that, Kaliklatak developed in the fields of pepper, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, keninger, eucalyptus, coconut and fruits such as bananas, oranges and kelengkeng.

At first this Agro Tourism was Dutch ownership but over time in 1957 this garden was diverted and changed hands belonged to an indigenous businessman engaged in cocoa, coffee and rubber, namely R. Soehoed Prawiroadmotjo.
