"Going there with a walking-tour group from Jogja Good Guide. Nice choice of place to start your lesson about the history of Yogyakarta.

In order to go inside the grave, you have to wear a traditional outfit, they rent it, but if you don't want to, you can just stroll around the complex."

"I loved Kota Gede neighborhood and I highly recommend you go on a tour to visit it, otherwise you may miss what makes the essence of this place. I had a free walking tour with Age from Jogja Free Walking Tour and it was one of the highlights of my stay in Yogyakarta ! Don't skip it during your visit to Jogja"

"A Great historical place that I've had ever visited through out the years. It located in the southern side of the city, nearby the traditional market. Most of people are known this area as "Kotagede" in bhaasa or Big City in English. I do really understand why should this place has its name. It's truly a big city with some markets, royal cemetery, big mosque & massive roundabout in the cornerstone. The cemetery.is part of mosque actually. It has lovely mixed architectural shapes through Islamic era & Hindi's perspective. No cover charge when entering this site, just pay for motor/car parking. But pls do no yelling and any other disturbing noise when we're here."
