Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the magical and unforgettable experience of releasing baby turtles into the ocean, highlighting the conservation efforts as a significant draw. While the free nature of the activity is a major plus, many note that arriving early is crucial due to long queues and potential limitations on tickets. Some find the waiting period and the crowds a bit challenging, but ultimately agree the cause and the experience are well worth it.

"The Kuta Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center is definitely worth visiting. The baby turtle release is such a special and unforgettable experience. We arrived at 3:30 and had a short line, but within ten minutes over 200 people were waiting. The releases start at 4:30 so if it is hot be prepared to wait. Despite the crowds it is truly magical. The facility is small but the work they do makes a big difference."

"We had a wonderful experience at the turtle conservatory in Bali! They share the daily turtle release time on their social media early in the morning —usually the release is around 4:30pm. We arrived a little after 4:00pm and the line was already quite long, but it moved quickly and the staff were fairly organized. Since we arrived later, only each child was able to get a ticket, but if you go earlier, it seems that each person or couple can sometimes get one.

Each ticket allows you to release one baby turtle back into the ocean, and the best part is that this whole experience is free—unlike some other conservatories in Bali. Once the tickets are handed out, you queue again to receive your assigned baby turtle and head down to the beach. The release is done in a designated area and everyone lets their turtles go at the same time, which was really special to witness.

It was a beautiful and memorable experience for our whole family. Our daughter was so happy and proud to help a baby turtle find its way to the ocean—it’s something she’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommend this activity if you’re in Bali with kids or family!"

"If you’re lucky you will be rewarded. The turtle releases are not every day, be sure to check the Facebook page for release details and updates. First in best dressed as their queues will be long and there may be a wait. A truly special experience as it’s not every day you get to release a baby turtle into the ocean and to be a part of a great cause."
