What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mawan Dive Site is celebrated for its spectacular manta ray encounters and diverse marine life, offering an unforgettable experience for divers and snorkelers. While the coral can be variable, the abundance of animals like sharks and fish compensates. Visitors should be prepared for strong currents and consider protective gear for snorkeling.
"Nice sight. Saw a Black tip shark and some nice coral with the usual fish for the area."
Jason Stein
"The corals are plenty but not the best. The marine animals are the better attraction. There are indeed Mantas, turtles and shoals of fishes where they would be. Advice to weak swimmers to avoid even snorkelling as the seas are unpredictable. Safety measures are most certainly lacking."
ThoeChong Chin
"Amazing. Snorkelled and get to watch two manta rays danced in synchronised. Followed by a group of divers swimming off the sea bed. One advice, do wear long sleeves suit. I wore short sleeves and unbeknownst to me got stung by jellyfish. Felt like stinging nettles."
