"My Grab driver told me to use Bandara Train because its much cheaper. Since airport is located 22km away from main city and it cost around 150k not included with toll and need around 49-60 mins.
Meanwhile, this train only cost around 50k and 30 mins to get directly into airport. I think it was great option!"

"They’ve had this train station for a while now and I think the prices have actually gone down and they’ve become more valuable and actually just better to use as the local car services such as Grab or taxis have risen in prices but Grab also takes longer to get to your destination.
I’ve taken the trains from and to the airport multiple times now and every time has been a very simple process. You first find your way inside with the signs above, purchase your ticket from an electronic machine (there’s staff so don’t worry if you don’t get it), wait for your train, board, and your on your way.
location is also great being right across from the Centerpoint Mall which has restaurants, clothing stores and is very comfortable to hop in right after leaving the train station. A new thing is that your ticket now assigns you to a seat too. The train has always been on time and seats are clean. Overall, a nice experience to test out when in Medan."

The train cabins are clean and you can rest while traveling to the airport or going to the city from the airport. Dont take taxi unless you are in rush.
