Reviews Summary

Mount Bintan offers a rewarding hiking experience with its lush trails and summit views, though the waterfall's flow is less impressive than in the past. Visitors highlight the challenging but enjoyable trek, with many recommending a guide for safety and navigation through dense foliage. Be prepared for humidity and insects.

"Gunung Bintan Besar is a nice place to visit. There is a direct path leading to the halfway point where you can see a small waterfall. Supposedly the waterfall was mightier until a few years ago but the volume has since lessened.

The water from the waterfall pool is cold and used by local residents nearby via a pipe that leads downhill.

If you want to climb Gunung Besar Bintan to the summit, a guide will be needed.

Bring insect repellent and some isotonic drinks as the climb uphill does make you sweat"

"Natural hill with full of trees and some places hot waterfalls. Its really not easy to do hiking here for beginners. the trees will be very dense. there will be ropes to guide hikers but not all the places got ropes. its better to bring along a guide while hiking. (Don’t under estimate this place by seeing other articles from google, really cant climb in one hour. if u want to climb until top and ur a beginner in hiking definitely it will take around three to four hours)"
