Honestly, really amazing climb and a really good trek. Highly recommend
Transport + Logistics Things that might help your journey (for other travellers) :
- You can totally grab to the place, and grab back to the city centre from the place (just note that you might have to wait 5-15 minutes before a grab driver accepts) , no need for private driver in my opinion
- the address to put in grab: if you put in Mount Burangrang, nothing pops up. My reception helped me, and the address they put in was “Burangrang via Legok Haji”, feel free to cross reference with google maps to make sure you’re going to the right place
- you’ll get dropped off in front of a large green sign (if you google translate it, it says just to follow the directions for the hike), you’ll walk around 200-300m and reach a ticket booth (that’s how you know you’re at the right place)
- My foreigner ticket was 30,000
- Hike up to the top took me around 2 hours, for others it took 3 hours
- hike down takes around 2 hours too, others 3 hours
- allow time to chill at the top. Bring food and water with you, no hawkers/water sellers on the way
- path is muddy at times, wouldn’t recommend wearing sandals/slippers, wear proper shoes.
- wouldn’t recommend wearing clothes you don’t want dirty either
Otherwise, enjoy the hike!"

"On of the mountain at west java
I come here with my friends with a recommendation from tik tok 😁
So we arrived here at 1am.the basecamp is actually very nice, you can sleep at the musshola but beware of bugs, the toilet is dirty but acceptable because its a basecamp toilet👍
We took approximately 2.45 hours to reach the top of course with some rest.the track is quite challenging with just a little bonus track😁 the weather is nice and from the summit you can go down A little for camping☺️
i saw lots of garbage and dead tree trunks in the track, the weeds also has grown tall.
I think this is a great mountain, just maybe we can do something like annual mountain cleaning and “bersih2 jalur” just to attract more visitors and climbers ❤️
Because this is a beautiful mountain🌟"
