"The worst "museum" I have ever visited. The high fence makes this place even more isolated even though it is located right in the city center. Inside the building, some antique windows have been lost and some walls have been broken into for the benefit of traders who open restaurants. This building is in the Dutch East Indies architectural style with some art deco on the facade and balcony. The second floor of the north end of the building cannot be climbed because the stairs are rotten and dangerous. The second floor of the east side is covered in dust several centimeters thick and is inhabited by hundreds of bats on the ceiling of the building. The south side of the building is covered in illegal traders. The inside of the building is very dirty and unkempt. Some parts of the concrete are overgrown with wild plants. Rainwater seepage can also be seen wetting the floor of several parts of the building. Very unethical service from someone who claims to be a museum guard but does not have a letter of assignment and instead gives the building a shabby impression by attaching a tent to sell on the south side of the building. It is very unfortunate that a historical place like this is actually abandoned. The related agencies should be more professional in handling this. It is not recommended to visit in the afternoon and evening, because there is no electricity and the pitch darkness can make bats attack you. It is not recommended to visit during rain and bad weather, because some parts of the roof have leaked and the rotten ceiling frame may collapse if hit by the wind. If you are allergic to dust, wearing a respiratory mask will be very helpful. The entrance gate is on the south side of the building, sometimes blocked by dozens of public transportation looking for passengers. The opening days and hours are still uncertain. The contents of the museum are full of statues and dozens of empty glass display cases without any collections."

"One of the historical buildings for the people of North Sulawesi built in 1930 but its condition is not well maintained. Please pay attention to the local government. Its current use as a museum and diorama of the people's struggle is not yet functioning, it is very unfortunate. It needs an injection of funds from the local government so that the diorama can be completed soon and can be accessed by the wider community."
