What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking 180-degree views and the unique 'carpet' of rice fields at Pergasingan Hill. The hike is considered rewarding, especially for sunrise, and camping offers a memorable experience. However, some find the trail steep and slippery, and litter on the path is a recurring concern. Noise from other campers can also disrupt overnight stays.
"A very beautiful hike that I can recommend to everyone! The first 40 minutes or so have a steep climb. You'll have to do some climbing, but it's definitely worth it for anyone who's ever been in the mountains. You might be a bit more careful on the descent, as it's sandy and you can easily slip. On the hill and on the way up, you have fantastic views of the vegetable fields, the town of Sembalun, and Mount Rinjani. It's really worth it! On weekends, there are lots of locals out and about, who also spend the night in tents up there."

"Amazing and beautiful hike. The 180-degree view is just breathtaking. It’s better to go before 10am (no clouds and less people). The trail is quite difficult because it’s steep and slippery. Walking shoes necessary! Very disappointed to see so much rubbish on the ground all along the hike!! Entrance 25,000 rupees per person and 10,000 rupees for parking."

Should be ready at 3am to hike up from the seruni view point to here. It will take 30mins for someone who go quickly. Not really hard hike, but very beautiful view and nice atmosphere"

This allows participants to soar above the stunning landscape, offering a unique aerial perspective of the rice fields and the majestic Mt. Rinjani.
