Reviews Summary
Puncak Sosok is a beloved hilltop spot offering stunning sunset and city light views, complemented by live music and affordable local food. While the journey can be steep, the relaxed atmosphere and picturesque scenery make it a highly recommended destination for a memorable evening in Yogyakarta.
"Puncak Sosok was the perfect way to end my time in Yogyakarta. I went here riding a motorcycle with a local friend I met during my trip, and it was my last night before flying out of the country — such a memorable experience.
The place overlooks the city beautifully, especially at sunset. People rent mats and lay them out on the grass while enjoying the view, sipping coffee, and listening to live bands performing nearby. The atmosphere is so relaxing — cool breeze, warm lights, good music, and just that cozy Yogyakarta charm.
It’s the kind of place where time slows down a bit. The view is perfect for photos, but more than that, it’s the feeling — peaceful, romantic, and genuine. I could imagine this being such a nice spot for a first date, or just for anyone who wants to unwind and take in the beauty of the city from above.
Highly recommended, especially in the evening. Great coffee, lovely music, and an unforgettable view — a perfect place to reflect, relax, or fall a little in love with Yogyakarta all over again. 🌙✨☕🎶"

"This is the place to enjoy live music with a beautiful view from the top. There are many food stalls, and the prices are generally affordable (around Rp5,000 to Rp20,000). You might even see a beautiful sunset if you're lucky! (The sky was cloudy when I went.) The entrance ticket is Rp5,000, plus another Rp2,000 for parking.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the people who were smoking there. I wish they'd stop for a bit and enjoy the fresh air from nature instead!"

"The view is majestic, especially during the sunset. The place is getting better compared to my last visit. The food is good, they have many options to choose. And also, you will get a music performance in Saturday."
