This is my second day in Bandung, Indonesia, and I had the pleasure of visiting Saung Angklung Udjo this afternoon at 3 PM. I bought tickets directly at the booth – the price was reasonable, and the experience was absolutely worth it.
I discovered this place through Google, mainly because my wife is a huge fan of Angklung, the traditional Indonesian bamboo instrument. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we were both genuinely surprised by the quality and energy of the performance.
The show lasted around 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it was filled with music, traditional dance, audience participation, and a great display of local culture. The performers – especially the children – were enthusiastic and talented, making the whole event feel very warm and authentic.
