Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Sindhu Night Market for its authentic, delicious, and incredibly affordable Indonesian street food. It's a beloved spot for both locals and tourists seeking a genuine culinary experience. While some note the market isn't huge, the variety and quality of food make it a daily visit for many. The only minor drawbacks mentioned are the lack of visible restrooms and the potential for crowds.

"I was in Bali for five days before leaving for Sulawesi, and this night market was my daily visit.

You can reach there easily by Grab or your own ride. Only thing is if you park at the entrance there's a 2000 rupiah parking fee. The parking lot is manned by two to three people and they do watch your bike, so I didn't mind paying.

The market itself is not that big, but there's plenty of stalls to try, you can easily eat for a week without exhausting all the options. This is not one of those places for tourists, plenty of local people eat here on a daily basis too as the food is really good, yet the price is cheap and reasonable. You probably need to have had a bit of experience with local food in order to know what I mean, but Indonesian food, as the food in many tropical countries, is not some exotic cuisine that belongs in fancy restaurants. They're simply, down to earth and most enjoyable at home or street corners, such as this place. That's why I reckon those fine dining Indonesian restaurants are completely the wrong idea to start with. I've tried a few, personally I think they're overpriced, the food was rather bland and most importantly just downright boring. They usually try to make the meal into some high-end clean looking dish by stripping off what made them tasty and colourful in the first place, which is obviously not going to work.

That being said, you also need to watch out not to go down the road of family-style cooking too hard. Otherwise, the meal becomes too simple to have any characters too. Hence, I have to say a night market is the perfect place for it."

"My first time visiting a night market in Bali—and I’m glad it was this one!

The market offers mostly Balinese and Indonesian food, with a lively mix of locals and tourists enjoying the local flavors.

I tried nasi campur from a corner stall where you pick your own dishes. It was delicious and incredibly affordable—just 18K!

Highly recommend visiting if you’re around the Sanur area and looking for a local, budget-friendly food experience."

"Great little food market that is worth visiting. Lots of local products at super cheap prices. This is a great spot if you are on a budget. I didn't see any toilets here, but the icon shopping centre is not that far away & there is some in there."
