What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Six Senses Uluwatu is lauded for its breathtaking clifftop location, luxurious private villas with stunning ocean views, and exceptionally friendly staff. The spa, particularly the private therapy villas, is a major highlight for many. However, some guests have found the food quality to be inconsistent, with certain dishes not meeting expectations for the price point.
"A unique hotel with a luxury yet sustainable approach.
Huge villas, great pool, restaurants are fantastic with amazing service and food.
SPA is a must, great massages, loads of choice, need to book in advance"
Walter Butti
"I write this review with a little regret, I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. The prestige of the six senses brand and the associated price tag forces me to appropriately elevate my expectations
Comparing to my other spa experiences at Banyan Tree & Capella Group etc
The good:
- The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, from the lobby to the spa and the pool side team.
- The spa itself is very very private and exclusive. The changing rooms are dedicated for you and your guests fully fitted with sauna, showers, bathrooms , lounge chairs and lockers. There is a common spa that requires bathing suits.
- The therapists will collect you and your guests to your own therapy villas and they will carry all your clothes and bags etc
The bad:
- Therapists technique were sub par
- Pressure was inconsistent and lacked the firm feeling
- The aroma therapy oils were very soft and could hardly smell anything"

"Absolutely breathtaking property. Stayed for 1 night. They upgraded our room by 2 levels so we got a beautiful view of the horizon by our own pool. The only downside as others have pointed out was the food!! We got dinner at their main restaurant and it was the worst meal we had during our stay in Bali. I wonder if the steak restaurant would have been better. The flavors were just unusual and the sauces were way too sweet for us. Maybe it is simply our palates but none of the other food we had in Bali was off-putting. I think one of their rules is no outside food, which is a bummer but understandable. Breakfast was nothing special but they can deliver to your room. We decided to eat outside to enjoy the view. Despite the poor food, I'll give 5 stars since the property is that beautiful. The staff are nice and seem genuine. One thing to be aware of is, it is very dark at night, can hardly see when walking. But I was told they purposely don't put that many lights in order to stay closer to nature, which I appreciate."
