What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Studio Alam Gamplong for its unique movie set atmosphere, affordability, and excellent photography opportunities. While some note that the sets could be better maintained and lack detailed explanations for those unfamiliar with the films, the overall experience is considered satisfactory and highly recommended for its nostalgic charm and value.
"This is the place where recording/shooting some of the most popular movies in Indonesia took place. 25km out of Yogyakarta. You need to buy an entrance ticket, take care that you buy a ticket for all the attractions at once, otherwise you walk up and down. The attractions are not very well maintained, and there is little explanation of what you see. This would have been important if you didnot see the movies on which the attractions are based. The train at the main entrance only brings you hundred meters or so, you can easily walk that, which us preferable especially if there are a lot of persons to enter the train. All in all don't know if I would go here again."
