What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tanjung Bloam is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty, featuring striking sandstone cliffs and clear waters. However, visitors often express frustration over the mandatory entrance fee charged by the adjacent resort, which controls access to this public beach. Despite the fee and concerns about swimming safety due to strong currents, many find the unique scenery and sunrise views make it a worthwhile, albeit costly, experience.
"A small but beautiful white sand beach backed by picturesque orange hued sandstone cliffs that provide shade in the afternoon. Can be reached by carefully scrambling over the rocks from the Jeeva Beloam beach. Despite this beach not being maintained like the resort beach, this beach and the water had less trash."

"Pantai Tanjung Bloam is a stunning, almost untouched beach in southeast Lombok, tied to the Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp. Although the beach is public, access is restricted by the resort. They charge 75,000 IDR for entry without a drink or 100,000 IDR including a soft drink. This isn’t exactly legal since the beach is public, but they block the road, so visiting without paying isn’t possible.
However, the staff is very friendly and the environment is breathtaking. The waters are crystal clear, ranging from turquoise to deep blue, and the cliffs and waves are spectacular. That said, due to strong currents and waves, especially at high tide, swimming is hardly possible and even not recommended by the staff.
It’s also hard to ignore the fact that, even in such a beautiful place, the human touch is visible with plastic waste scattered along the shore. It’s disheartening to see the staff spending half their day on their phones instead of maintaining the beach for which they charge visitors. If the resort is going to profit off this place, the least they could do is keep it clean.
It’s a magical spot where time seems to stand still. Despite the entrance fee controversy and the lack of cleanliness, it’s worth experiencing the raw beauty of this beach. Just go with the mindset that you can’t change the situation and enjoy nature’s gift."

"Beautiful beach but 100kRp entrance collected by the resort is a scam. Most similar places around Lombok are priced between 5 and 25kRp.
However the hike up on the right hand side from the beach allows beautiful views over Bloam hill, the beach, and Sumbawa at the horizon."
