"Unexpected gem for historical lover.
We came here for some pictures before heading to Bangkinang.
And luckily there’s a guide / caretaker in the house (missed the name but that Mr is super nice and really knowledgeable) and we managed to take bit tour inside and learned some history and exchange knowledges between Indonesia and Malaysia cultures.
As the day before we have gone for a trip to Siak, so it’s fascinating to see the actual places for some past events.
We hope the house will get a nice makeover and will be preserved for future generations.
As the house situated in the banks of rivers, the bridge on the background gives a really nice aesthetic view. I think it’ll be super nice during sunset.
Thanks to our supir Mr Dody for bringing us here."

"An old wooden structure, not much explanation at the site.. it would be nicer if there is some story about the building around it. I have to get to wikipedia to know the story about the building. Apparently this is the place where the Sultan of Siak would rest a while when he visited the area. It was quite a humble place consider that the Sultan used to rest there. No much relics from the outside, very simple building. I cant go inside the building during my visit. It was locked.
Access was easy, located just on the banks of the Siak River. There is a small promenade near the building for you to walk along the Siak river. You can also see the Pekanbaru bridge number 3 since it is located just below the bridge."
