What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently describe Wayag as a breathtaking, pristine paradise, often calling it one of the best places on Earth. The surreal karst landscapes and incredibly biodiverse underwater world are major highlights. However, the long and potentially rough journey from Sorong, along with the challenging climb to the viewpoints, are significant considerations.
"6 grueling hours by boat from Sorong, on a sea that can be choppy, at 25 Knot /hour, that's a bumpy ride.....Fortunately we split the trip in two, and spent a night mid way.
That place is better than anything we can watch on insta. Nature does not need any editing here. We can't edit something perfect. The colors are almost too real to be true, the environment is still pristine, although it's slowly becoming a popular destination...the distance from Sorong will keep it preserved a few more years hopefully..... transparent water, white sandy bottom, you can scan through the sea from top to bottom just by looking from the boat deck.
The karstic mounts look like popcorn on the emerald sea, popcorn covered with green vegetation. It's incredible and only aerial pictures can truly reveal the awesomeness of this place.
If magic is a place, then here it is."
