"An unbelievable historical site!!! Visiting Shapour Cave is a combination of mountain climbing and ancient site visiting. It takes 45 min to 1 h to reach from the carpark to the cave and you need 30 min to explore the cave. The path is really challenging and you need to be fit. Best time is early morning when its quiet and not warm. Highly recommended!!!"

"This historical place is related to sasanid( sasanian) empire of persia which is located near the ancient city of Bishapoor.
The statue is hight raised in a cave, which is curved in stone in very details.
In order to get to the entrance of the cave you've got to walk at least for 30 minutes and you have no choice other than walking since it is located up a rocky hill.
Of you got the chance to visit this place you will be able to visit other archological sites which will take you back in history of persia.
I strongly suggest visiting it and other sites around, especially if you're interested in ancient Iran's history."
