"This church has been closed for many years, like the other two churches in Mashhad. If you are curious and eager to visit, I must tell you that this church and Armenian cemetery were last opened officially 6 years ago and some tourists were able to visit. Unfortunately, due to lack of awareness of this important building, even the fruit vendor next to the church was not aware of the nature of this complex."

Historical Context and Preservation Challenges
Unfortunately, the site has faced considerable challenges regarding preservation. Reports indicate that parts of the complex have been damaged by 'artless and foolish people,' with some areas repurposed for parking lots and even fruit stalls. This destruction has led to the loss of many beautiful graves and historical elements. The current closure by government order highlights the ongoing efforts to manage and potentially restore this valuable heritage site. Access is now strictly controlled, requiring coordination with the Cultural Heritage organization and the Armenian Caliphate Council, underscoring the delicate balance between public interest and preservation needs.
