The place served both ad a mosque and a citadel in the days of its prime. Unfortunately, only one section of the building stands today, but that section on its own is a reflection of the mastery of the architects who erected the building to serve as the centre of governance in Tabriz. There is no entrance fee, and you can admire the majesty of the building as much as you like."
