What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the raw, untamed beauty and remote charm of Black Valley, calling it one of Ireland's most beautiful and adventurous spots. The challenging drive and stunning landscapes are highlights, though the limited services and narrow roads require careful planning.
"When you drive past the Strawberryfields Cafe and from the very back through the valley, things get truly adventurous. Grass in the middle of the road, no passing places. At the front of the valley, at the wrong time of day in the morning, about 20 horse-drawn carriages come towards you, and you naturally give way. So it's better to wait until midday to drive; then it's still adventurous enough and you don't annoy the drivers."
