Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Brandon Creek as a peaceful, unspoiled historical gem on the Dingle Peninsula, highlighting the unique meeting of the creek and the Atlantic, and the significant St. Brendan monument. While some note the lack of clear signage for the monument and the absence of the rumored 'booming sound' at the pier, the overall sentiment is one of serene beauty and historical intrigue.

"It's one of the many very historic places hidden in beautiful west Kerry. The pier, the little river running towards the ocean. That's beautiful and peaceful place far out on the Dingle Peninsula. Just before you get down to the river though, there is a nice sculpture and monument St Brendan, which also deserves your attention. I had the chance to have a knowledgeable person with me, so I was told the whole story about it, but it worth it anyway."

"A lovely little cove where the creek joins into the Atlantic. If you're arriving in a car it's best to stop by at the small ravine first and then plough on all the way onto the pier, there is enough space to make a U-turn there. The rock crevice at the very end of the pier is supposed to make a booming sound, amplifying the waves, but when we were there I haven't noted anything of that sort. All in all, nice to swing by!"

Jack Wilmith

"This very historic place in early Irish history is unspoiled in beautiful west Kerry far out on the Dingle Peninsula. There is a nice sculpture and monument near the creek but its not very well high lighted in fact i drove past it and just spotted it on the left before i went down to the creek . A good signpost and a notice board giving the story of St Brendan and the creek would be a great addition to this beautiful place. Its a pity that Tim Severns replica boat isn't on Display here in Brandon Creek or somewhere in Kerry associated with Saint Brendan its a bit lost up in Clare at the Craggaunowen project site."
