What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Dodder Valley Park for its expansive, wilder areas and the peaceful green corridor along the River Dodder, offering a great escape within the city. The park is also appreciated for its ongoing improvements, including new playgrounds and a BMX track, making it a vibrant community space. While most users respect shared paths, a minority can be less friendly.
"The park is large, with lots of newly planted trees, which have managed to escape the attentions of the vandals so far. Parts have been kept really wild and not too landscaped and remain very accessible.
There are a lot of dog walkers and we have built up a great rapport, stopping to chat along the way. The clean river provides a lovely opportunity for the doggies to get in and have a paddle or swim, season permitting.
For the most part, the sharing of the pathways is respected by walkers, runners and cyclists. A minority continue to behave in a less than friendly way, but they have to live with that.
I walk this park on average twice a day, and I never tire of it."
