What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Scotsman's Bay for its serene beauty, especially during quiet mornings and evenings, and its potential for wildlife spotting. The coastal views and artistic inspiration are frequently highlighted. However, the unpredictable Irish weather can sometimes dampen the experience, and amenities directly on the bay are limited.
"Early in the morning, on a calm late summer's day, as the sun is only rising above the horizon, walking along the lower quay, few people around as you hear the water gently lapping the rock. You stop, and look out, a heron is patiently waiting for his next catch, another flies above, you appreciate this simple gift of life, as you walk on, and away, back to where you were headed.
At least this is how I imagine it being, because when I was here earlier today, it was pouring buckets and I was soaked."

"Really a good place for people who just want a quiet time. There is always not a lot of people (especially on the lower level - where you can go via the stairs). The entire place is cleaned regularly and you could always find a good spot for yourself. Must go on a sunny day."

"The beauty about being around Dublin coast parts is that each day you'll find something new to see from different perspectives, in this case we had some lovely weather with really cold 1⁰ on sun and was great for jumping on rocks to get warm. Give it a go with a nice walking distance few nice places to get ice cream, coffee or also fish and chips, and yes in those times its more Take Away but can't wait to have them back on normal. See you"
