What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for World of Illusions Dublin are mixed, with many visitors finding it a fun, visually engaging experience perfect for photos, especially for families. However, a significant number feel it's overpriced for the duration and the basic nature of some illusions, with some exhibits reportedly not working, leading to disappointment for some.
"Been here with both my Parents❤️
As it was there first time in Ireland, I wanted them to experience all good things and this was one of them!
Cost is €23 per person and if you are student you will get discount.
For €23 it seems expensive if we are on a budget trip. But the experience is ok to try for a new group. Please checkout the pictures of the illusions I could capture, it was mesmerising!"

"Booked the world of illusion as TikTok and other places said it was a good place to go see in Dublin… £44 euro for 2 people on a week day half of the things didn’t work never mind having to also pay for photos £30 for 3x photos rip off the only good thing there was the illusion tunnel which I actually liked everything else either didn’t work or was boring wouldn’t recommend going the photos below are just 2 of the many broken things that didn’t work"

"Complete disappointment. At €25 per person, this attraction, like many others have said, isn’t worth more than €10 at best. The so-called “World of Illusion” is just a handful of small rooms with cheap, outdated displays, mostly the kind of basic optical illusions you’ve already seen countless times on Facebook or Instagram.
The “interactive” areas are essentially a couple of mirrors and lights. They’re fine if you want to take some photos, but for the price, it simply doesn’t deliver. We walked through the entire place in under 40 minutes and left feeling ripped off. The whole setup feels rushed, messy, and lacking any real creativity or effort. There’s no wow factor, no genuine illusions, and certainly no justification for such an inflated ticket price.
Save your money, this is one of the worst tourist traps in Dublin. There are far better ways to spend both your time and your money in the city.
FYI: if you still want to go have a look on Groupon"

Navigating the World of Illusions
However, it's important to note that the visitor experience can be varied. While some find the illusions 'mesmerizing' and the venue 'fab,' others have expressed disappointment, citing that many exhibits are basic, similar to online content, or even non-functional. The duration of the visit is also a point of discussion, with many completing the attraction in under an hour. This has led some to question the value for money, especially at the standard ticket price. Therefore, managing expectations and perhaps seeking out discounted tickets is often advised.
Despite mixed reviews on value, the World of Illusions Dublin remains a popular choice for families and couples looking for a unique, albeit brief, activity in the city. Photography and Social Media Appeal
Creators on platforms like TikTok and Instagram frequently highlight the 'photo-perfect' moments and the 'magical' or 'mind-bending' nature of the illusions. Videos often showcase individuals posing in various surreal environments, demonstrating the attraction's potential for creating engaging visual narratives. While this aspect is a major plus for many, it's also worth noting that the quality and functionality of some of these photo-centric exhibits have been questioned by some visitors, leading to a perception of them being more about the photo than the illusion itself.
For those planning a visit with photography in mind, it's advisable to go with an open mind and a fully charged phone. The attraction offers a fun way to experiment with different poses and perspectives, and the unique settings can lead to some truly memorable and eye-catching images. Just be prepared that the 'wow' factor might be more in the photo than in the underlying illusion for some of the displays.
