"Hodges Figgis is a book lover's dream, a wonderful place. Founded in 1768, it's the oldest bookstore in Ireland and one of the oldest in the world. The selection of books of all sorts is extensive, and nicely arranged, so that, if you're seeking, say, kill and thrill (i.e., crime) fiction, you can find a big selection of books of that sort on a table and then on nearby shelves. The selection of Irish-themed books — both fiction and non-fiction — is, of course, outstanding. The store is very pleasant and elegant, on top of it all, and every staff member with whom I dealt when I browsed and shopped there today was exceedingly helpful and friendly."
