"A lovely church and grounds. Parking was around the corner from the entrance. The cemetery is large and full of interesting headstones and crosses. You can walk all the way around the church but on the day of my visit the church was closed. A nice location with plenty to see, cheers"
Michael Raj Groves
"Just a little correction that it was founded by Christian’s (who were of course catholics) but there was no Protestant (or Anglican Catholicism as it was for the 1st 100 years) until after the reformation in the 1500s. Cromwell did not arrive until 1649 with a very reformed view of the church.."
Clare Caron
"An amazing Cathedral. Original built by catholics in 1300ish, it was stolen by the English when Cromwell ravaged Ireland and is now a protestant church. However there is great history in the graveyard including brave Irishmen who took part in the 1798 rebellion in Ireland."
