"My wife and I had a most enjoyable 4 day break in the Walter Raleigh during the first week of September '25. We had stayed in the hotel previously about 13 years ago, and it has been completely refurbished and upgraded since then. In fact its completely transformed into a top class hotel.
Our bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely sea view overlooking the nice park opposite the hotel.
The breakfast and dinner were top class every day. I sampled a different main course each evening and they were all perfect, especially the chicken marikana!
We would like to record our appreciation to manager Brian who looked after us during our stay, and to Jason who welcomed us on arrival, for their help and to all the staff (including room service) for their friendly and efficient service, and for making our time in Youghal most enjoyable.
We look forward to staying there soon again."

"Check in was a breeze. Hotel was clean our room clean and fairly large. Restaurant was busy and there was only 2 gentlemen working but they did a great job. We had street sode room so we had a great view of the park. Only complaint was the little desk top fan in our room was broken. Turned it on and it sounded like it was about to explode. I would stay here again."

"Tired to eat here recently and was turned away because it was busy. Fair enough, totally understandable for a restaurant to be busy on a Sunday afternoon. We had no problem in going away for a while and coming back but they seemed to have no interest what so ever in trying to help us get a table for later on that day. Is it because we had a baby with us? I don't know but I won't be going back again. A customer shouldn't have to beg for their dinner. There is a couple of very well established restaurants close to this one with good food and good service and yes they may also be busy on a Sunday afternoon but I bet they will welcome you with a better reception then this place."
