"Had a nice walk up to Douglas Head with my wife. Beautiful views and saw the magnificent poppy. Pleasantly surprised to see the memorial to the Manx men who died at the battle of Trafalgar. Delighted to see the sea lions in the water next to the lighthouse. Only negative was some irresponsible dog owner had let their dog foul the footpath. No need whatsoever as there are plenty of bins for dog poop."

"Great place to visit to take in the views of Douglas Harbour. Car parking is free after 6pm and at weekends. You can walk if you dont mind a steady climb up the road which has footpaths. From here there are plenty of benches to enjoy the view. There is even the option to have a BBQ. The camera obscura is nearby but is only open at weekends. You can walk down to the lighthouse cottage from here but the climb back is steep and unlit at night."
